System Requirements
attro has been developed to run on Microsoft’s Windows platform, though other versions for iPads, Android devices, etc. will be released early in 2013. attro Device, the ‘front end’ application used to collect your data can be used on devices with Windows XP (service pack 3) through to the latest Windows 8 operating system.
To centrally collate your data, attro utilises the industry renowned database SQL Server, and as attro has low level requirements the free version SQL Express Edition is all that is required so no SQL licences are required.
As all schools operate differently, attro can be provided in a number of formats that should cater for all individual circumstances, even for schools with managed IT services or with no network systems:
On Premise

Use the school network to centrally store your data collated by attro.
Stand Alone

For schools with limited IT support attro can be provided pre-installed on a small server.
In The Cloud
+
Where there is no or restricted access to a school network your data can be hosted off site and stored in the cloud for your use.
